The "W/DR" in the part name stands for "with drain," meaning this section includes a case drain port. On gear pumps and motors, that drain line routes internal leakage fluid back to tank rather than letting pressure build up in the housing. It's a pretty standard feature when the unit is going to see higher back pressure on the return side.
