Product Questions & Answers

got an o-ring groove cut for a 2-1/4 ID and 2-1/2 OD, is this the right size or am i gonna be fighting it
Question by: Jerry P on Jul 16, 2025, 3:38 PM
This one is the 568-228 size with a nominal 2-1/4 inch I.D., 2-1/2 inch O.D., and 1/8 inch nominal width. The measured dimensions are about 2.23 inch I.D., 2.51 inch O.D., and 0.14 inch width, so it lines up with that nominal callout.

trying to swap out an old A-228 o-ring, is this the same size?
Question by: Dustin S on Oct 24, 2025, 8:12 PM
Match it up by size and cross reference. This one is also listed as old SKU A-228, with a nominal 2-1/4 inch ID, 2-1/2 inch OD, and 1/8 inch width. The actual measured dimensions are about 2.23 inch ID, 2.51 inch OD, and 0.14 inch width.

Is this o-ring likely to fit if my old one measures about 2 1/2 inches across the outside?
Question by: Ricky M on May 23, 2025, 8:44 PM
Yes, this o-ring has a nominal outside diameter of 2 1/2 inches. The actual outside diameter is 2.51 inches, so it should be a close fit.
