flow rate on this thing rated at 170 L/min or is that the max the whole series handles?

The DSV312BA8T is rated up to 170 litres per minute for flow rate. The series overall can handle up to 227 L/min (60 USgpm), but this specific valve is spec'd at 170 L/min. Worth keeping that distinction in mind when sizing it for your system.
