Does this plug work down to -40 degrees, or is that just for the body and the seals give out before that?
Question by: Rick P on Sep 9, 2025, 3:45 PM
Both the carbon steel body and the Buna-N seals are rated to handle temperatures as low as -40 degrees, so the whole assembly is good at that threshold, not just the housing. Whether you're running equipment through a hard freeze or parking it outside overnight in bitter cold, this coupling is built to stay functional at that lower limit.

This quick disconnect coupling plug is often found on agricultural and construction equipment. It's also used in in-plant manufacturing, dump trucks, snow plows, and maintenance vehicles.

got a 5600 series setup already, is this the male half plug with the ball lock and SAE ORB end?
Question by: Earl A on Mar 13, 2026, 10:35 AM
For the 5600 Series quick disconnects, this part is the male half plug and it uses an internal ball lock connection. The ends called out are push to connect on one side and SAE ORB on the other, with a 1 1/16 port size.
