does this cap work with ISO 7241/1 Series A couplings, or is it only for Eaton stuff?

Any coupling that conforms dimensionally to ISO 7241/1 Series A will mate with this cap. The 5600 Series was built to that standard, so it is not locked into Eaton-only equipment. If your existing couplings follow Series A dimensions, this dust cap should fit right in.
