Product Questions & Answers

what seal materials come standard on these dust plugs? trying to figure out if they'll hold up with what we're running through our lines
Question by: Sherry W on Dec 12, 2025, 7:07 PM
Buna-N, EPR, and Viton are all included as standard seal options in the 5600 Series. That gives you a solid range for most common hydraulic fluids, so chances are good one of those seal materials lines up with whatever you're working with.

Just wanna make sure, this here's just a dust plug, right? Not the whole coupler?
Question by: Bobby M on Aug 1, 2025, 5:00 PM
That's correct, this is a dust plug designed to keep dirt and debris out of your 5600 series industrial interchange couplings when they're not connected.

got a -10 quick disconnect setup. is this dust plug the right size for that or am i gonna be fighting it
Question by: Connie F on Dec 17, 2025, 8:50 AM
It matches a -10 coupling size and it’s part of the Eaton 5600 Series quick disconnect family. The end is a compression style, with listed end sizes of 0.625 on one side and 0.635 on the other.

what seal materials come standard on this dust plug, and are any of 'em suitable for use around petroleum-based hydraulic fluid?
Question by: Roy M on Oct 20, 2025, 9:49 PM
Buna-N is one of the three standard seal materials available, and it holds up well with petroleum-based hydraulic fluids. The other two standard options are EPR and Viton. All three come as standard offerings on the 5600 Series, so you're not looking at a special-order situation to get a compatible seal for typical hydraulic oil applications.
