Product Questions & Answers

trying to step down from a 3/4 pipe thread to a 1/4 port, is this the right bushing?

For a straight brass reducer bushing that adapts from a 3/4-14 Male NPTF on one side to a 1/4-18 Female NPTF on the other, this part matches that thread change and both ends are called out to SAE J476.

Got a 3/4 male fitting on my manifold and need to step it down to a 1/4 female port. This bushing do that job?
Question by: Larry H on Sep 26, 2025, 3:35 PM
That's what this one's built for. The male end is 3/4-14 NPTF and the female end accepts 1/4-18 NPTF, so you're stepping down from a larger male connection to a smaller female port. Both threads conform to SAE J476, so you'll get a solid, leak-resistant fit on either end. Straight brass construction holds up well in most standard hydraulic and pneumatic line applications.
