i’ve got a port that’s 3/8-18 nptf and the line i need to hook up is 1/8-27 nptf. Is this bushing the right way to step that down

For stepping down threads, it’s a 3/8-18 male NPTF on the outside with a 1/8-27 female NPTF on the inside, both to SAE J476. That lets you screw the bushing into a 3/8-18 NPTF female port and then thread a 1/8-27 NPTF male fitting into the bushing.
