Got a fitting that's 3/4-14 male NPTF on one end and need to step up to a 1-11-1/2 female NPTF port, this the right piece for that?

That's what this expander is built for. The male end is 3/4-14 NPTF and the female end opens up to 1-11-1/2 NPTF, so you're stepping from a smaller male connection into a larger female port in one straight fitting.
