got a hose end that’s M26 x 1.5 din, will this adapter get me over to 1/2-14 NPTF on the other side?

You can use it for that exact changeover. Side 1 is a female DIN tube end with an M26 x 1.5 callout (size L18), and Side 2 is a male 1/2 - 14 NPTF thread.

Got a hydraulic line running M26 x 1.5 DIN tube and need to tie into a 1/2 inch NPT port, this the right fitting for that?

That's what this one handles. Side 1 is a female DIN tube end with an M26 x 1.5 thread, and Side 2 is a male 1/2-14 NPTF thread. Steel construction, straight configuration, so it drops right in without any angled offset. The L18 size on the DIN side and 1/2 inch on the NPT side line up with what you described.
