trying to hook a DIN tube end to a 1/2 BSPP port, is this the right adapter?

For that DIN to BSPP connection, it matches a female DIN tube end in M22 x 1.5 (L15) on one side and a male BSPP G 1/2 - 14 (1/2 inch) on the other, with an ES seal on the BSPP end.

got a DIN tube fitting on my hydraulic line and need to tie into a BSPP port, this straight adapter gonna get that done?

That's what this one's built for. One end is a female DIN tube connection with an M22 x 1.5 thread and an L15 size rating. The other end is a male BSPP at G 1/2-14, which is your standard 1/2" BSPP port. Both ends use a 27mm wrench flat, so you're working with the same size on both sides during installation. The ES seal on the BSPP end handles the sealing at that connection. Steel construction throughout.

Will this here adapter hold up okay for connecting a DIN fitting to, say, a hydraulic pump with a BSPP port?

This straight steel adapter is designed specifically for connecting DIN tube ends to BSPP ends, so it should work well for that application.
