What size tubing does this cap fit, and is it metric or standard threading?

It fits L28 DIN tube with M36 X 2.0 metric threading. So yes, fully metric, not NPT or any inch-based thread. If you're running DIN-spec hydraulic lines in that size range, this cap should match up without any adapter in between.
