Product Questions & Answers

reckon this quick disconnect would work on my dump truck's wet line setup?
Question by: Harvey T on Aug 22, 2025, 6:07 PM
This Eaton 5100 series quick disconnect is often used for on-highway hydraulic wet lines, along with dump and refuse vehicles.

does this thing connect when there's already pressure in the line, or do you have to bleed it down first before hooking up?
Question by: Ralph M on Mar 25, 2025, 7:01 AM
You can connect it under pressure up to 500 psi without bleeding the line down first. That's one of the main reasons this fitting gets used on dump trucks and refuse trucks where stopping to depressurize the system every time just isn't practical. The tubular valve construction also keeps fluid loss down to around 0.70 cubic centimeters at disconnect, so you're not making a mess every time you pull it apart.

got a wet line setup on a dump trailer, is this the right female quick disconnect for that kind of work?
Question by: Dale L on Feb 2, 2026, 1:02 PM
For on highway hydraulic wet lines and equipment like dump and refuse vehicles, the 5100 Series female half is a common fit since it is built for hydraulics and fluid transfer in those applications, with a low spill tubular valve style.

trying to swap out an old wet line coupler, what thread is on this female half?
Question by: Randy C on May 28, 2025, 7:28 PM
The female pipe thread on this -20 female half is 1-1/4-11-1/2, and it’s a 2-way valve style quick disconnect.
