Product Questions & Answers

does this dust cap work for connecting when there's already pressure in the line, or do you have to bleed it down first?
Question by: Roger Y on Aug 23, 2025, 9:32 PM
Up to 500 psi, you can connect the halves without bleeding down the line first. That connect-under-pressure capability is built into the 5100 Series design, so you're not stuck shutting down the system every time you need to make a connection. Just confirm you're pairing it with the matching -20 coupling size and you're good to go.

Will this dust cap fit my current Eaton 5100 series coupler? Just want to make sure before I order.
Question by: Jean F on Jul 9, 2025, 5:51 PM
It's designed specifically for the Eaton 5100 Series quick disconnects with a -20 coupling size. Verify your coupler size to ensure proper fit.

got a -20 5100 series coupler on a piece of equipment, is this the right dust cap for it?
Question by: Harold R on Jun 1, 2025, 12:30 PM
For a -20 coupling size in the Eaton Aeroquip 5100 Series, this part is the matching female dust cap. It is intended to keep the coupler protected while also supporting the 5100 low spill, connect under pressure style.

cap says it connects under pressure, how much pressure we talkin before it won't hook up no more?
Question by: Brenda W on May 12, 2025, 1:58 PM
Up to 500 psi is the rated connect-under-pressure limit for this cap. So if your system is sitting at or below that when you go to make the connection, you're good to go. That's one of the more practical features on this one, since a lot of setups can't always be fully depressurized before reconnecting.
