fitting's got a 7/16-20 on one end and I need to tie into a metric DIN tube line on the other, this the one that does that?

That's what this connector is built for. One end is a 7/16-20 UNF male ORB-SAE, and the other is an M12 x 1.5 male DIN tube connection. The 90-degree elbow shape lets you change direction between those two thread standards without needing extra adapters in between.
