Will this fitting work to connect a DIN tube to a metric setup, both being M42 x 2.0?

This Adaptall fitting is indeed designed for that purpose – connecting a DIN tube with an M42 x 2.0 callout to a metric connection that also has an M42 x 2.0 callout. It's a straight steel fitting.
