got a hose end that’s M16 x 1.5, will this adapter mate up to it and what’s on the other side?

On the metric side, it has a male M16 x 1.5 connection. The opposite end is a male DIN tube connection called out as M18 x 1.5 (Side 1 size L12).

Yes it will. This adapter connects a male DIN tube with M18 X 1.5 threads to a male metric connection that is M16 X 1.5.

Got a line running M18 x 1.5 DIN tube on one end and need to step down to M16 x 1.5 metric on the other, this the right piece for that?

That's what this adapter is built for. Side 1 is a male DIN tube connection at M18 x 1.5, and Side 2 is a male metric connection at M16 x 1.5.
