Got a line running M18 x 1.5 on one end and need to step it down to M16 x 1.5 on the other, this the right piece for that?

That's what this adapter is built for. One side is M18 x 1.5 and the other is M16 x 1.5, both male, so it bridges those two thread sizes in a straight configuration. got a hose end with M16 x 1.5 on it. will this adapter mate up, and what’s on the other side?

The Side 2 connection is a male M16 x 1.5 metric thread. The other end is also male and it is a DIN tube style connection with an M18 x 1.5 thread.
