got a hose end with M14 x 1.5 DIN tube threads and need to step it down to M12 x 1.5, is this the right little adapter?

For that thread change, it matches what you described. One end is M14 x 1.5 DIN tube, male, and the other end is M12 x 1.5 metric, also male, in a straight steel adapter.

the DIN tube side of this adapter is an M14 x 1.5. The metric side is an M12 x 1.5.
