trying to hook a DIN tube end into a 1 inch BSPP port but need a 90, is this the right adapter?

For that mix of standards, it matches up. One side is a DIN tube end with an M36 x 2.0 thread in size L28, and the other side is a 1 inch male BSPP to the G 1 - 11 standard, built as a 90 degree elbow.

trying to figure out if this'll work for hooking up a metric DIN tube line into a 1-inch BSP port on a manifold, that the right read on what this fitting does?

Right on both counts. One end is a DIN tube connection with an M36 x 2.0 thread at the L28 nominal size, and the other end is a 1-inch male BSPP fitting to the G 1 – 11 standard. So if you've got a metric DIN tube coming off your circuit and need to drop into a BSP-threaded port at a right angle, this is the fitting that bridges that gap.
