both ports on this thing are the same thread size, right? just want to make sure before i order

Correct on both sides. Each port uses an M20 x 1.5 male DIN tube end, and both carry the same S12 size callout. So if your line has matching DIN tube fittings on each end, this union connects them straight through at a 90 degree angle without any adapter in between.

trying to snake a line around a bracket, is this union the 90 degree style with the same thread on both ends?

Set up as a 90° elbow, it connects two male DIN tube ends that are both M20 x 1.5 (S12), so it is a symmetric union for making a right angle turn.
