both sides on this thing are M24 x 1.5 male threads, that right? just want to make sure before i order

Correct on both counts. Each side carries an M24 x 1.5 male thread in S16 sizing, and both are set up for DIN tube connections. So if your system runs DIN tube on either end of the bulkhead, the threading lines up the same way going in as it does coming out.

got a bulkhead pass-through and need to turn 90 degrees right after it. is this the kind of fitting for that

For a bulkhead setup where you want an immediate right-angle turn, this is a 90 degree bulkhead tube union, so it passes through a panel and gives you a 90 degree elbow connection on the tube side.
