What size wrench do I need for installing this?

You'll need a 17mm wrench for the smaller side (Ch1) and a 27mm wrench for the larger side (Ch2).

Both sides are male on this thing, how's that supposed to work when I'm routing tube through a panel or bulkhead? Seems like it'd just thread into nothing.

Bulkhead fittings work a little different than standard inline unions. One male end threads into a nut or mating fitting on one side of the panel, and the other male end does the same on the opposite side. The bulkhead itself gets sandwiched and locked in place through the panel wall, so both male callouts, M20 x 1.5 on each side, are meant to connect to corresponding female fittings or nuts already in your system on either face. The 90-degree angle lets the tubing change direction right at the panel rather than requiring a separate elbow further down the line.
