what's the thread size on the BSPT end of this fitting, and is it a taper thread or straight?

The BSPT side is a 1/8" male taper thread, with a callout of R 1/8 - 28. BSPT is always a taper form, so it seals on the thread itself rather than relying on a face seal or O-ring. That makes it common in British-standard ported equipment and a fair amount of older industrial machinery.
