Got a line running M36 x 2.0 DIN tube on one end and need to tie into 1-inch NPTF pipe thread on the other, this the right piece for that?

That's what this connector does. One end is a male M36 x 2.0 DIN tube fitting and the other is a 1-inch male NPTF thread running 11.5 threads per inch. Both ends are male, so make sure your mating components are female on each side before you order. It's a straight connector, 57mm overall length, and built from steel, so it holds up well in working industrial conditions.

trying to hook up a DIN tube to a 1 inch NPT line. is this the piece with M36 x 2.0 on one side?

For that kind of hookup, it gives you a male M36 x 2.0 DIN tube end on one side and a 1 inch male NPTF thread on the other, all in a straight steel connector.
