fitting's got an M14 x 1.5 DIN tube end on one side and 1/4-18 NPTF on the other, that right?

Correct on both counts. One end is an M14 x 1.5 male DIN tube connection and the other is a 1/4-18 NPTF male thread. That combination lets you tie a metric DIN tube line directly into a standard NPT port without needing extra adapters in between.
