trying to swap a hose end over, is this the straight adapter that goes from M22 x 1.5 DIN tube (L15) to 1/2-14 NPTF male?

You’re looking at a straight steel Adaptall fitting with an M22 x 1.5 DIN tube male connection on one side in L15 size, and a 1/2 - 14 NPTF male connection on the other.

got a DIN tube end on my hydraulic line that needs to tie into a 1/2 inch NPT port, is this the fitting that bridges that connection?

That's what this one does. One end is an M22 x 1.5 DIN tube connection and the other is a 1/2-14 NPTF male thread, so it goes straight from a DIN tube setup into a standard NPT port without any adapters in between. Steel construction, straight body, and a 24mm wrench flat to get a proper torque on it.
