got a DIN tube nut that’s M36 x 2.0, size L28. Is this the right straight adapter to go over to an SAE O-ring male?

Match-up looks right if your DIN side is M36 x 2.0 male (size L28) and you need to convert to a male SAE O-ring face seal with 1-5/16 - 12 UN threads (size 1"). It is a straight steel Adaptall adapter with those exact two end callouts.
