part number 5002S-16-08, is that the M24 x 1.5 DIN side connecting over to a half-inch BSPP male, or did I read the callouts backwards?

You've got it right. The M24 x 1.5 thread is the DIN tube side, listed as S16 sizing, and the G 1/2 - 14 is the BSPP male end at half inch. Both sides are male, so plan your mating connections accordingly on each end.
