trying to hook up an M12 x 1.5 DIN tube fitting to a 1/8 BSPP port, is that what this adapter’s for?

For connecting those two thread types, it’s a straight steel adapter with an M12 x 1.5 male DIN tube end on Side 1 and a G 1/8 - 28 male BSPP end on Side 2, built to make that metric to BSPP hookup with a secure seal.

Got a metric fitting on one end and a BSPP port on the other, will this adapter bridge those two without needing extra hardware?

That's exactly what it's built for. One end carries an M12 x 1.5 metric male thread and the other is a G 1/8-28 BSPP male thread, so it connects those two interface types directly. Both sides are male, so you'd be threading into female-ported components on each end. No additional adapters needed to make that metric-to-BSPP transition happen.
