Yes, this DIN union adapts between an M18 x 1.5 male thread at an L12 tube size down to an M16 x 1.5 male thread at an L10 tube size.

Got an L12 line feeding into an L10 section on a machine I'm working on, this union the right piece to tie those two together?

That's exactly what this fitting is built for. Side one runs M18 x 1.5 male thread at L12, and side two steps down to M16 x 1.5 male thread at L10, so it bridges those two DIN tube sizes in a single straight union. Steel construction, 28mm overall length, and a 19mm wrench flat means it goes in clean with standard tooling and doesn't take up much space in the line.
