What kind of pressure can this thing handle without blowing apart?

This coupler is rated for a maximum dynamic pressure of 6,000 psi, so it should hold up well in high-pressure systems.

Got a 1/8-27 male fitting on one end and a 1/4-18 male on the other, will this coupler work to connect them both up?

That's what this part is built for. Both ends are female NPTF, one at 1/4-18 and the other at 1/8-27, so it'll thread onto male fittings of those sizes on each side. Both threads conform to SAE J476, so sealing should be solid as long as your male fittings are cut to the same standard.
