got a hose with a -6 end on it, is this fitting the right one for that?

What kind of corrosion protection does this fitting have on it? Working around a lot of moisture and want to make sure it holds up.

Carbon steel fittings can be a concern in wet environments, but this one uses Dura-Kote plating specifically to handle that.
