Product Questions & Answers

Hey, will this fitting hold up if it's exposed to the elements a lot?
Question by: Brent P on Jan 11, 2026, 8:39 AM
Dura-Kote plating on this fitting is designed to provide strong corrosion resistance, which should help it withstand exposure to the elements.

Got a -6 hose assembly I'm trying to tie into a 1/4 in. NPTF port on a hydraulic block. This the right fitting for that hookup?
Question by: Diane W on Dec 16, 2025, 6:39 AM
For a -6 hose dash size running into a 1/4 in. male NPTF threaded port, yes, that's exactly what this fitting is built for. It's a permanent-style crimp end from Eaton Aeroquip's 4T Series Synflex Optimum line, so once it's crimped onto the hose, the connection is fixed. The NPTF thread gives you a tight, leak-resistant seal at the port end without needing extra thread sealant in most standard setups. Carbon steel construction keeps it solid across a wide range of industrial hydraulic service conditions.

trying to swap a fitting on a -6 hose, is this one the right size on the threaded end?
Question by: Jean W on Jul 16, 2025, 6:05 PM
It matches a -6 hose dash size on the hose side and has a 1/4 in male NPTF thread on the port side, so it is meant to connect a -6 hose or tube assembly into a 1/4 in female NPTF threaded port.
