Dura-Kote plating gives this fitting excellent corrosion resistance, which should help it withstand harsh conditions and extend its service life.

fitting says hose dash size -24, just want to make sure that lines up with a 1-1/2 inch hose before I go ordering it

Dash size -24 does correspond to a 1-1/2 inch hose, so you're on the right track there. The female ORS end is size 2, and the overall width on this assembly runs 2.82 inches. As long as your hose matches that -24 designation, this fitting is built to connect right into your line, hose, or tube setup without any adapter gymnastics.
