Got a -24 hose I'm trying to terminate with a female JIC swivel end. This the right fitting for that?
Question by: Cody P on Sep 8, 2025, 8:51 PM
For a -24 hose dash size with a female JIC 37-degree swivel connection, yes, that lines up exactly with what this fitting covers. It's built as part of the 4S crimp series, so you'll need a compatible crimp setup on the hose end. The swivel allows for easier alignment during installation, which helps a lot when you're working in tight hydraulic connections runs where the mating fitting can't rotate freely.

For hose sizing, this one is set up for a -24 hose dash size. It is a 4S Series crimp hose fitting with a female JIC 37 degree swivel on the fitting end.

Engineered to meet SAE J1176 certification standards, this fitting is built to deliver reliable performance in industrial hydraulic applications. It's constructed from carbon steel, so it should handle that pressure without issue.

Trying to match up a hose end, is this one a female JIC 37 swivel for a -24 hose?
Question by: Hank C on Jul 22, 2025, 8:28 PM
You are looking at a female JIC 37 swivel end on a fitting built for -24 (dash 24) hose size, with the other side intended for line, hose, or tube connections.

Does this fitting have any kind of corrosion protection on it? We run equipment outdoors and rust has been a real problem with some of the other fittings we've tried.
Question by: Lyle P on Jul 26, 2025, 6:26 PM
Dura-Kote plating is applied to this fitting specifically to hold up against corrosion. It's a step above bare steel fittings and makes a noticeable difference in harsh or outdoor environments where moisture and exposure are constant concerns. Carbon steel construction underneath gives it solid structural integrity, and the plating keeps surface degradation from becoming an issue down the line.
