fitting says -20 hose dash size, that match up with a 1-1/4 inch hose or am I looking at the wrong one?

A -20 dash size does correspond to a 1-1/4 inch hose inner diameter, so you're in the right ballpark. The hex size on this one runs 1.8, and the female end is a JIC 37-degree swivel connection. As long as your hose assembly and mating hardware line up with those specs, this fitting should work for your setup.
