what's the corrosion protection like on this fitting? running equipment outdoors and rust has been a real problem with cheaper stuff

Eaton Aeroquip puts a Dura-Kote plating on this elbow specifically to hold up against corrosion. It's part of how the whole fitting is built out to extend hose assembly life, not just a surface coating slapped on at the end. For outdoor use where moisture and the elements are a regular factor, that plating gives you a meaningful step up over standard uncoated carbon steel fittings.
