what's the corrosion protection on this fitting, heard some of these cheaper carbon steel ones rust out pretty quick in wet conditions

Carbon steel fittings can definitely be hit or miss when it comes to holding up in damp or dirty environments, but this one uses Dura-Kote plating specifically to fight that off. It's a surface treatment built for demanding conditions, so it's not just bare steel sitting out there waiting to corrode. For most industrial setups where moisture and grime are part of daily life, that coating makes a real difference in how long the fitting holds up before you're pulling it and replacing it.
