fitting's got the Dura-Kote plating on it -- does that hold up decent against rust when it's running outdoors or in wet conditions?

Carbon steel fittings normally need some kind of surface protection to survive moisture exposure, and the Dura-Kote plating on this one is specifically there to handle that. It provides corrosion resistance well beyond what bare steel would give you, which directly extends the life of the whole hose assembly. For wet or outdoor environments, that coating is doing real work keeping surface degradation at bay.

Reckon this fitting can handle the juice in my hydraulic system without corroding to pieces?
