fitting's got a DIN 24 degree seat on it -- does that mean it'll work with standard metric hydraulic lines, or is there something else I need to match up on my end?

Metric end compatibility is exactly what this fitting is built around. The DIN 24 degree seat is a metric connection standard, so as long as your line side is also metric and sized for a dash 20, you're in good shape on that end. The hose side is a crimp-style connection from the Eaton Aeroquip 4S series, so your hose needs to be compatible with that crimp system. Both ends need to match up, not just the seat type.
