This Eaton Aeroquip fitting is specifically designed for use with 4-wire spiral hoses, so you should be good to go.

Does this fitting work for a fixed-end application, or is it adjustable?

Fixed only. The 4S24FH24 is built specifically for non-adjustable end applications, so once it's crimped onto your hose assembly, the end position is set. If your setup needs any kind of swivel or repositionable end, you'd want to look at a different fitting style. For straight, locked-in connections though, this one's built for exactly that.
