does this fitting need a mandrel to put on, or can you crimp it straight without one?

No mandrel required for installation. The 4S24FH20 is built to go on without that extra step, which saves setup time when you're putting together hose assemblies in the field or on the shop floor. Just crimp it directly onto your -20 hose and you're good to go.

Will this fitting hold up to some serious hydraulic pressure, or is it more for lighter-duty stuff?
