Does this fitting hold up decent in dirty or harsh shop environments, or is it gonna corrode out on me before too long?

Carbon steel fittings can be hit or miss depending on the coating, but this one uses Dura-Kote plating specifically to fight off corrosion. That plating is built to extend the life of the whole hose assembly, so it holds up better than a bare steel fitting would in rough conditions. For most industrial shop environments, that level of protection does the job well.
