fitting's got Dura-Kote plating on it -- does that hold up decent in wet or outdoor environments where rust is always a fight?

Carbon steel fittings in hydraulic systems can be a real weak point when moisture gets involved, but the Dura-Kote plating on this one is specifically there to handle corrosion resistance. It's not bare steel sitting out in the weather. That coating is part of what Eaton Aeroquip built into the 4S series to extend service life and cut down on the kind of premature wear that leads to leaks or failures down the line.
