fitting's brass right? trying to make sure it'll hold up running refrigerant lines without corroding out on me

Brass construction throughout, and it carries a Dura-Kote plating on top of that for extra corrosion resistance. For refrigeration work it's listed right there in the application range, so you're in good shape on both counts.

Will this fitting hold up with LP gas?

This Eaton Aeroquip fitting is rated for use with LP and natural gas. It can also handle flammable liquids, but that's a special-order application.
