what's the difference between LH and RH on these valve plates, and does the 3.80 designation refer to the displacement?

Left-hand and right-hand refer to the rotation direction of the pump the plate is built for. Getting that wrong means the porting won't align correctly with the flow path, so it matters quite a bit.
