Is this fitting good for hydraulic hose on farm equipment, like a tractor?

This reuse fitting is designed for hydraulic hose applications, so it should work well on farm equipment that uses hydraulic systems. Just make sure it's the right size (3/8" male pipe thread to a #8 hose).
