So, this is carbon steel, right? Does that hold up okay if it gets a little wet sometimes?

Carbon steel gives you a good balance of strength and affordability. It's durable for general use, but keep in mind it can rust if exposed to moisture for extended periods. Best to keep it dry when you can.
