got a hose end with 9/16-18 ORFS and my port is G 1/4-19 BSPP, is this the right adapter or am i mixing stuff up

For that exact mix of threads, it matches up. One side is a 1/4 inch Male ORFS with 9/16-18 UNF threads, and the other side is a 1/4 inch Male BSPP with G 1/4-19 threads, so it is meant to transition between those two standards.
